My brother came out to one of the guys ranch in Trent years ago to hunt and they hit it off so we started going and now we are all like family and will come hunt both there places every year. One guy owns some land in Uvalde and his partner owns a ranch in Trent. Now my brother pretty much handles all the hunts up in Trent Tx and guides up there for the owners. Me and my family will come out a couple times a year and help them on the ranch and hunt and let all our kinds play and hang out. We are very blessed to be hooked up with them and to have the opportunities we have.

Well, I was not able to make a connection on a buck or a doe on this last trip, and that might be my last chance this season, as GA is closed, and I lost my spot in Texas.

If I get a chance, I would go on another AL hunt, just not sure how practical that is this year with all that is going on.

If not, looks like my first buck will be my only contribution this year.

Guys I have failed you. Me and my youngin went yesterday to shoot does and shot at three. Well one piled up and the other two ran. It came a quick rain storm and within five minutes the blood from the other two was gone. We looked all over but never could find the other two and the one I forgot to take a picture of it between trying to get the deer out of the woods and being in a hurry I smoothe forgot about taking a picture. I’ll try to shoot one or two more before the season goes out

If anyone had a place for me to sit, I would be happy to shoot another doe or two. Could use the meat.

Where you located at my man. We are snowed in here around my house but all my hunting land up north is clear. I’m probably gonna strike out here in a little while and head back to the camp. All the jobs I had lined up for the week are a ft deep in snow so we will try again Monday

Snowed in down here but gonna get after them hard this weekend and take a few days off in February. Have a decent buck locked down with a doe on camera this morning. Hoping that’s a good sign and they get wide open soon.

We got right at 8" as well. Deer have been moving well at the camp but wasnt going to attempt the tunnel or bay way yesterday to get over there. Hopefully they are acting crazy this weekend after the thaw.

I'm in Ball Ground, GA, but have no problem driving to hunt. I have an Alabama lifetime hunting license.

If you are generous enough to offer, I will follow whatever buck rules you want me to follow. Also OK if it's just does or pigs.

Lost my Texas connection this year when he lost the lease. Really miss hunting Webb County, but haven't found a replacement ranch yet without breaking the budget.

Good job doc way to go. Fine buck. I am done in Alabama I killed another stud of an eight point yesterday. I’ve been begging my wife and youngins to go and never fails they don’t go and I kill one. I’m gonna try to get them on a deer before the season goes out or I’ll be on doe patrol

I might can hook you up with shooting some does if you need the meat for the freezer. I need to shoot a few more off my place. I don’t know what you budget is either but if you wanna keep hunting in Texas I can hook you up with that as well where we go. My brother is running all the hunts for the guys we hunt with so if you’re interested I can put you in touch with him. My property is in Choctaw county Al in Toxey how far is that from you
