We drove south on I-39 through that crap. It was bad. I had a pretty big pucker factor for most of the stretch. We were in an F350 with 37s so that helped.

It won't do us any good as far as an upgrade but the Lord blessed me today with the opportunity to kill my first ever "snow day" deer, so I thought I'd share with you fellas. I killed another good 10 point this afternoon that was after a doe. He also has a 16.5" inside spread, decent mass, and has longer tine length than the first 10 point that I killed a few weeks ago. He looked like he was rutted down some. This buck weighed in at 160 lbs. I sure am thankful for the opportunity to kill him.

I’m hunting everyday until the end of the season. Ive killed 3 doe so far. Haven’t seen any good buck yet. I’ll get one before its over.

Yes, we only ran dogs and didnt tote a gun until Monday. It was COLD! We jumped 1 rabbit and ran it for about 1-1/2 Hr. We couldnt get a shot it was pretty thick in there. We worked them back to the truck and never jumped another rabbit so we loaded up and went home. Cant go this weekend but after that we got some hunts planned.

Its not easy to raise a good pack but if you got true rabbit hounds its a lot of fun. We work hard early to get them on one then let the 1st one circle to get the dogs hot. Followed by try to kill a few, followed often by sit on the tail gate and drink a few cold beers, followed by lets go kill that rabbit and load them up. We try to have one or two hunts per year where we slaughter them but usually its kill 2 or 3 and just let the dogs hunt and enjoy the music! (And drink cold ones.)
