For those of you that do this for a living, is there a better (carbide?) chain to be found in this size?

I’ve used it on my Husky. Works very good.

Thats bout good as u can buy . Just keep it sharp and file drags down every few filings . Stihl makes a good chain also . It’s all about how you sharpen it as to how it cuts an how long it stays sharp

Should be, google it. Carbide chains are pretty expensive. Ive never owned one but ive looked at them. I believe they make chains like that for people cutting frozen trees, maybe landscapers cutting crossties. They do exist. Also, if you find a chain but its too long, you can remove links to make it shorter

I've never fooled with carbide chains but Oregons are about as good as you can ask for.

The true mark of a man is not how he conducts himself during times of prosperity, but how he conducts himself during times of adversity.

This is close. Youd have to remove 4 links. Sawshop could do it if you cant.

Heres the links you need to fix it

Remove 5 links, add this one back in. Brad the pins with a hammer, tapping lightly
