Looking to buy an electric SxS. What’s y’all’s opinions? Bad boy buggy? Polaris? Golf cart? I don’t need a 4 seater.

I have a Beast electric cart which has been great after I switched to a Lithium battery. I don’t know if they exist but if I were to get another one I would try and find one with a decent suspension. My main beef with electrics is the ride.

I wouldn’t take a free bad boy buggy because I don’t want to be worried about walking when I need a ride. Go Polaris if you need it to be sturdy

I would get a Ranger. If you're buying the new Kenetic it is very expensive. If you're buying used then you can convert to lithium very reasonable and have a very capable machine. I have a 2012 Ranger EV that I put lithium in and if you don't abuse it you can get put a lot of hours on them. Polaris will normally have more support and parts than the off brand stuff. You can do a lot with golf carts also so thats an option but the Polaris comes with 4wd, decent suspension, and a bed. My 2012 with the lighter lithium conversion probably does in the 25-35mph range. Its a great hunting rig thats quieter than gas.

I'm sure they are not nearly as nice as the newer ones, but, about 7 years ago, I bought the wife a 2013 Ranger EV. It has been trouble free, other than the batteries. We've been getting about 3 years out of a set, even though I do a really poor job of maintaining them. I have no complaints.

When its time again convert to lithium. the prices have come down and its very simple. The machine is much more responsive. Its like a different machine.

I understand. However, I'm hesitant to do this because of the fires associated with lithium batteries. We store it in a carport.

Ive got an electric 48v golf cart that does everything i need it to do. really depends on what your needing it for, and what the terrain is like that you hunt. Ive taken mine through some pretty large mud holes and with the right set of tires the 2wd does just fine due to the weight

Ive owned and converted several Polaris Ranger EV from Lead Acid to LiFePO4 setups. Amazing machine when they lose 400# and can go over 25 miles in the woods, then charge back up to 100% in 4-5 hours.

Turkey, the LiFePO4 batteries are not a fire risk.

Is there a good source for these batteries in our area?

Call Josh with Impulse Lithium. They’re in Pelham Al.
Pm me if you want his number. Or you can look up the office number. Good people to deal with. 15 or 20 (can’t remember) year warranty that they’ll honor.

I've never heard anything good about Bad Boy that wasn't an advertisement. We had one at the golf cart shop for months waiting on parts that were non-existent.
