Maybe both Iām about as far from as you can get from either of those, but I know what good sausage is. People who think conecuh sausage is good sausage has never had good sausage or have shitty taste buds. Iāve tried it several times and I wouldnāt ever feed that crap to Raven. Itās an ok flavor but itās like eating straight up smoked pork fat with pure salt in it. Itās one hell of a laxative though. I feel sorry for you guys that have to settle for junk like that. Hell Iād take Hillshire farms sausage over that crap.

^^^ We live in alabama Marsh - cant everybody make sausage like you. Nobody could ever make it close to what my granddad made when he harvested hogs and unfortunately i never asked him how he did his smoke house when i was a kid. His was incredible!! So here is how it is for us in alabama when we go to the grocery store in alabama in the ones i have been in. You can either grab the connecuh or some sucky brand like hillshire farms and i can promise ya - if u like hillshire bettr than connecuh - your taste buds do suck. Their aint gonna be a marshmud brand in the grocery store š¤£š¤£ Connecuh is alabamaās sausage - so itās what we got!! š so u either like connecuh or u dont like sausage or u eat some sucky brand!! Thats what i hav seen when i was in jackson - linden - camden - demopolis - thomasville - meridian - auburn grocery stores- etc. If u see another brand in an Alabama grocery store that is awesome - please let me know about it!!! Its what we got!! I think i hav tried all the other brands like hillshire farms etc and my taste buds dont suck - its our only choice Here endeth the lesson š

I will inhale 3 links n the morning š Quail farm in Mississippi makes a good sausage, I'm gonna take some to Stricks and get some Mac n Cheese smoked sausage and some other things. Had hoped to be doing it myself, but i still need 9 or 10 water Oaks gone before can get me another little building brought in...

We live in 2 different parts of the world. Just so happens I live in the part that has the best sausage. My sausage is by far not the best but we love it. It could be better but due to some seasoning restrictions I have itās all I can do. The difference in the sausage in our area is itās a simple sausage. Meat, seasonings and smoke. Thatās it. And itās a course ground sausage. In yalls part of the world yāall have what we call life jackets. It has so much fat in it it floats. Itās also fine ground like a hot dog and has all kinds of different things like mustard seeds, mustard powder high fructose corn syrup and all kinds of preservatives. You donāt need all that to make a good simple sausage. The sausage in yāalls world makes a good breakfast sausage if you cook it like bacon and render the fat out. Anyway I do feel sorry for yāall.

Best deer sausage in Alabama is Holloways in Opp al. I also agree with Marsh on conecuh. Way too much fat. I agree on Holloways. The baby links are some kinda good.

Best deer sausage in Alabama is Holloways in Opp al. I also agree with Marsh on conecuh. Way too much fat. I agree on Holloways. The baby links are some kinda good. Times 3 on Holloways. Just finished grilling some of their sweet onion and garlic smoked sausage. Stuff is awesome as is their deer bologna and summer sausage. I used to use Josh but his quality went downhill last couple of years plus heās expensive as heck. Youāre $200 in before any specialty items if you donāt want to wait a year. Frozen and refrozen and got sick or explosive diarrhea multiple times from Josh. Iāll never use Joshās again. Holloways is the only processor I will ever use again in S AL. Not just good products but reasonable and cleanest processor I have ever seen.
