I have been doing it for years and it works wonders on greening up your plots. Really draws the does in for the rut. I like to put it out mid Dec at 100 lbs/acre after a rain on wet ground (so it will melt) with a few days of warm weather in the forecast. You will see some results in a week but can really see it in 2 weeks, I think the soil temp needs to be above 55 degrees for it to work well. If you put it out before a big rain a lot of it washes away.
