What is the best copper fouling cleaner/ technique that you use to remove copper deposits from your rifle?
Perhaps the law of physics cease to exist on your stove. Were those magic grits? Did you buy them from the same guy that sold Jack his beanstalk beans? My Cousin Vinny

Wipe out. Hands down. If the fouling is severe, then Montana Extreme copper.

An old friend of mine who passed on some time ago who was a big lover of guns and had quite the collection of them and who went to the range near daily...told me once.. from time to time clean your rifle bore clean of carbon using a soft nylon bristle brush and some hoppes or something like it.... swab you bore clean and them lubricate it and let it be...
but ... and he stressed...don't make some huge effort to rid your bore of copper fouling...after the first few rounds upon cleaning your just fouling up the rifles bore again and wire brushing with harsh chems is only shortening your barrels life. He said the copper fills in the small imperfections in your rifles bore and should be left alone, this filling in of the imperfections increases the rifles accuracy. I haven't cleaned my Rem 700 7mm mag in a three years and just last season at the range I fired one shot to find it hitting right where I left it. Bam!! Think of your grandmothers cast iron pot or skillet. She’d slap the piss outta you if she caught anybody scrubbing it with dawn or some “cleaner”. Knock the chunks out of it if it shoots good and leave it alone. That’s my philosophy anyhow. If I ever get into benchrest shooting with a $8-10K gun, maybe I’ll change my thoughts. But for deer hunting with a mass produced rifle, those imperfections need to be filled.

I once posted a picture years ago on Aldeer with a bottle of BTE in front of a least a half duzen copper solvents. Sweets, Shooters Choice, Barnes, Montana Extreme, Butchsand others I have used through the years.
Except for Bore Tech Eliminator, They're all in a landfill today.

But for deer hunting with a mass produced rifle, those imperfections need to be filled. I used the Tubbs system in my new 7mm stw years ago. Lapping barrels, especially high end barrels, should eliminate a lot of copper build up Years ago we used to use a plug and soak the barrel. I used Butch’s bore shine back then but really didn’t see any difference
