I used the heavy duty drywall anchors that screw in and have done fine. I started trying to just use an angled nail or screw but they were pulling down into the sheetrock too much. These are what I use, some of the larger ones are rated for 50-60 lbs. or more, never had a problem with them.....

Those will work but they really need a washer and nut to cinch it tight to the wall , leaving enough of the screw out to hang the mount on.

I got those hooks from walmart - pierce the sheet rock and leave hook exposed - its a curved hook with a sharp end - all my mounts on those
But the screw thing they mention rated for lot more
