My wife has tested negative for everything twice this week. Sunday and yesterday. She sounds like a 40 yr heavy smoker with emphazema when she coughs. Doc Sunday said viral and gave her a steroid shot and inhaler but no antibiotics. Doc yesterday gave her a z pac and steroid pack. Son tested positive for Flu yesterday.

This thread is strange. Its like a time warp and its 2018 again. Folks are getting the flu in the Winter months again.

So, there is a relatively new virus identified making rounds now called Human Metapneumovirus that is not being tested for much yet, but my sis-in-law has/had it and RSV, both, and it has kicked her tail.
She did test negative for covid, flu and strep before they got to the two she did test positive for.

She did test negative for covid, flu and strep before they got to the two she did test positive for. They say there is no treatment but thats BS, you can treat a virus with ZPac because it’s antiviral/antibiotic, quinine and zinc (zicam), ivermectin, D3 and Vitamin C. You can also chew 1/4 piece of 2mg Nicotine gum about every 6 hours to help with ACE receptor penetration. Additionally, Sudafed can help and so can Elderberry. No different than a covid treatment, you have to get a jump on it early to slow viral replication

Nicotine has long been known to have anti-viral properties, its just that highly-addictive part of it that makes it bad for treating things.

Nicotine up-regulates the ACE/angiotensin (ANG)-II/ANG II type 1 receptor axis, and down-regulates the compensatory ACE2/ANG-(1–7)/Mas receptor axis
Nicotine may bind with the ACE2 receptor, particularly in people with COVID-19, and thus could interfere with further SARS-CoV-2-ACE2 binding
Nicotine and cigarette smoke decrease levels of ACE2 in multiple organs
Cytokine storms could be prevented or suppressed by nicotine through its impact on the cholinergic anti-inflammatory system; nicotine may inhibit hyperinflammation and platelet reactivity.
Tobacco can be antiviral but not nicotine itself (I don’t think)

The anti-inflammatory properties of tobacco have not been fully studied. We all know that if you put tobacco on a bee sting it eases up fast, probably better than most OTC ointments. But folks dont seem too interested in figuring it out cause tobacco is regarded as a non-healthy plant. Its probably real damn hard to get research grant money to find good uses for tobacco.

One of the folks I work with on my hunting liability insurance just got out of the hospital with RSV, influenza A and other unidentified viruses she picked up on a cruise. Other folks sick and taken off ship to hospital in DR. Lost vision in left eye and taken from airport to hospital. So serious it was reported to CDC. She still sounds terrible and can’t see out of the left eye. Said her optic nerve swelled up causing vision issue. Terrible situation. Praying she recovers as nice person.

I've seen enough cruises with viruses hit. Not thank you. Never been interested in it.
I wouldn't be at all shocked if the same azzhats that purposefully released Covid haven't released something new. They've got reason to. If it hamstrings Trumps administration, they'll kill whomever they need to, to make it happen.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
