yes, I had it a few years ago. I struggled with it for months (to the point I almost couldn't walk some days) I started seeing a natural health chiropractor within a week of seeing her and doing the stretches it made a significant difference and was totally cured within 3 months. She is the one who got me to watch youtube videos about the stretches, and I suspect the stretches alone would make a big difference quickly also. they were painful, and had to be done 2-3 times a day but it's probably the best place to start.

Yeah , it's rough . It's been coming on for months but got really bad bout 3 weeks ago. I've been 3 1/2 weeks getting over it , I had a couple of stretches where I could barely walk and then it was some kinda painful. I hated to sit because I had to get up , several nights got very little sleep. Never could get comfortable . I went to my family doc twice , two different chiros , all kinds of stretches, acupuncture , e-stem and dry needled sticks. E-stim and the dry needle sticks into a knot in the muscle helped the most I guess. It's a nasty , lingering problem .

Thanks. It's a nasty , lingering and very painful ailment . Way worse than sciatica and harder to recover from. Trust me and thayerp81 , you don't want it !

I tore mine when I was younger. Took forever to get over it. Hope you feel better soon.

Lots of YouTube exercises as well as online resources…it’s a marathon not a sprint. Good luck with your healing process

Didn't hurt as bad as the area they were getting stuck in.

That’s gotta hurt bad then

I had some serious sciatica pain from a blown disk from flipping an 4 wheeler and it landing on me. I could hardly walk. Butt muscles were locked up tight when he started the dry needling. The 5th time he stuck the needle in I thought I was gonna die. Worst pain ever and I’ve broken two molars on popcorn kernels

I can’t imagine what you’ve gone thru if that was worse

Thanks fellers , doing better. I had some stretches already but did pick up some more on Youtube. Those young , limber fellers on youtube , who don't have this condition sure do make them look easy. OUCH ! laugh
