If I won the lottery I would buy 50k acres of land and have an ALDEER members only hunt club on it. We would have trophy spikes for me and Quailman and trophy bucks with gaudy antlers for the rest of you. Skinny would be president of course and be paid 3% of all dues. By the way, dues will be $0 with turkey rights. Matt Brock would be our biologist and since we all are pretty good at wounding deer CNC will be our paid tracker, he will also be paid 3% of dues income. Irish will be contracted out to build our lodge, complete with an Auburn wing and an Alabama wing. A 30’ tall statue of Osceola riding Renegade will be in the center of the circle drive. Rooms will have two king size beds each. We will have a custodial staff and a full time butler and concierge for each wing. Full time cooks with 24hr service will be hired as well. We will have a health clinic and pharmacy for the geriatric population. Trump will be our financial advisor and Musk will design and build our shooting houses. Polaris will provide a fleet of UTV’s and ATV’s. I like the way you think Booger.... but you forgot something.... A lake,,, it'll need a lake ...about a 10K acre lake full of fish and a boat ramp on each end...

After the initial tax bite, of about 60%, I think I would be pretty tight with $400 million and figure out how to stretch that little bit until I get to needing Social Security. Figure I saw was just shy of 50% on the lump sum . Wonder why folks don't take the 30 year payout, surely it would be a better option for some.
"Why do you ask"?

Because when that person dies then there are no more payouts and it can't be willed to someone else. There are no beneficiaries.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

A search says winnings can be passed to heirs , this is per several legal sites. The winner fills out a beneficiary designation form . Per interweb, both Mega Millions and Power Ball can be passed to the winners estate / heirs . https://www.financestrategists.com/insurance-broker/annuity/can-a-lottery-annuity-be-inherited/
