Take it seriously guys/gals. Early last week Monday/Tuesday I woke up around 2:00 in the morning with what I thought was acid reflux, indigestion, or something. It went away in a few minutes and I went back to sleep with no problems. A few days later I feel it again after lunch and after a few minutes it went away, I kept working no big deal. This kept happening through the rest of the week. Sunday we went to eat for my wife’s birthday and it hit me again after we ate however this time it was a little worse and lasted from about 2:00pm - 7:30pm. My wife told me to go to the ER but it was getting better and I didn’t want to spend the night in the ER so I went first thing Monday morning. They brought me in and did a heart catheter and found 3 blockages. I was diagnosed with a genetic heart disease and the chest pain was heart attacks.
I am scheduled for a bypass Monday morning and hopefully get to go home this time next week. If there’s anything I’ve learned from this is go get checked out if you’re having chest pain. It’s a good thing I went when I did or may have been much worse.

Man don’t play with that. About 7 years ago I had a heart murmur and thought I was dying.

My chest has hurt sporadically every day for the most part for six years. I went to ER 5 times the first couple months it was doing it. I’ve had two types of scans done in the past five years. All kind of test. They say it ain’t my heart but by god it’s where my heart is. Gut doctor says it ain’t them.ing doc said it ain’t that one. Cardiologist says it ain’t my heart. General said sometimes they just don’t figure it out. I know it scares the heck out of me. I wish they would find an answer. Glad you went to doctor and getting it fixed. You have nerves that run all through there man. I get these pains and for me mostly originate from the muscles between the shoulder blades. It can hurt all the way to the front from the back. Don’t take it lightly though

No signs or symptoms for me No high cholesterol or blood pressure It hit all at once and I had one artery that was 99% and they popped a stent in and I’m good to go
When I need expert advice I tend to talk to myself The older I get the better I used to be

i have felt your pain: eight stabbing indigestion attacks over two weeks or so that i walked off before i went to a cardiologist. 55 percent of my heart was scar tissue, and my mitral valve was shot. open heart surgery with four bypasses and a new bovine mitral valve. no bueno, but i am still here seven years later. Do. Not. Mess. Around.

I hope you get better soon.
I've had the opposite experience. I've had minor things happen that they've attributed to cardiac. In ever instance it was BS. I'll probably die from cardiac arrest, but damned if I go through the circus again.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

About two years ago, I did the Baptist Hospital heart exam they do, for $100. It involves a lot of tests. They inject a dye and do xray scans and all kinds of stuff. Radiologist called me that night and acted like I'm going to die sooner than later (his words), If I don't get in there quickly. I had the same stuff done at the VA, after I told my doc this a few weeks later, and the cardiologist said there are no problems. Who do I believe. He even did the test where some stuff is injected, he has to be present because it really accelerates the heart, and I had to move a lot. He said all is clear and no problems. I'm almost 69. Don't know what to believe anymore...lol

Same here . First time yrs ago had all kinds heart test. Everything negative just stress from job they said an high Bp. Chest felt like someone sitting on it . 2 year ago it was real bad again family dr said acid reflux . Put me on Prilosec. Good for awhile then same thing . Chest hurt for week . Miserable feeling . I have been watching what I eat an it’s gotten lot better but Prilosec quit working . Family dr put me on protonix . Been good so far . I have figured out what not to eat in large quantities like tomatoes, oranges, salads and anything else that causes acid . And exercise is the best cure . I’ve hurt so bad over the yrs . Thought many times I was having heart attack . Chest would hurt and feel like stomach was swelled up bad . I walk for miles hunting in cutover an if heart was bad I think I would done kick the bucket . It’s trail an error for me . Lost 20pds in last yr has really helped
