I haven’t been on in quite a while as you said. Everything is fine. It’s been a year with some bumps and bruises, but it takes trials to have triumph. Nothing is wrong, I don’t mean to imply that. In full disclosure, I got burned out on the site. The near constant bickering just got to be too much.

The Good Lord is good. I’m still crappie fishing, business is fine, I’m almost back down to my “fighting weight,” getting more exercise and truthfully using the extra time just to work on me. My faith, my health, my mood and mind. The less bad that goes in, the more good can go in and more good comes out.

Thanks guys, and thanks for the understanding. I was wasting way too much time online, and the negativity (not just here but everywhere) was taking a real toll on me. I didn’t realize near how much until I stepped away from it. I still get online. I have a Purple Martin Facebook group that’s grown to over 3000 members in 3 years. BUT, that’s still a break from drama. I’m spending more time with God on a daily basis and that’s growing and manifesting into great things, at least in my life.

When Romans 8:1 becomes “soul acceptance” instead of head knowledge, it’s a very powerful thing. That just happened recently. When sin in your life, becomes so disgusting to you that you finally understand the real definition of repentance, well that’s a freedom that I’ve never felt.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit".

I’m not just on a new and better spiritually journey. That is the best part of this, but there’s more. God wants more for us. It’s not just about Spiritual growth but overall growth and improvement. It started with a movement of God but has manifested into much more. The exercise I’ve done in my life was pretty much limited to weight lifting. I did cardio when “I had to.” What I’ve learned is how much good can come from nothing other than walking. It’s amazing how much mood and mental improvement that nothing other than consistent daily walking can do for your health. I started out slow and have built up to longer distances. It’s now something I crave and don’t dread.

Being better and doing better takes time. Not months but minutes. We just have to “make” the necessary time. Life can be more, if you dedicate the necessary time to make it that way. Start with 15 minutes. Set small goals. Achieve those consistently, then set slightly higher goals. Achieve them and do it again. Achievable goals aren’t small, they’re attainable. Don’t set yourself up for failure by setting goals that you may or may not be able to achieve. Start small, and grow.

Whether you’re a Christian or not, you can improve your health, both mentally and physically if you just do more. So, do more. If you can’t walk more than 100 feet, walk 100 feet. Do that for week, then walk 110 feet. Just be consistent and improve. I didn’t start this journey with these ideas in my mind. These ideas have come as a result of what I’ve done.

Folks who are actually busy doing things and enjoying life don't have time to be online documenting every move. Glad to hear you're doing well, Brad.

True story, but anyone can fall into a rut. Even working 70 hours a week like I was a year ago. We all need time to heal our mind, body and spirit. Start with the spirit. The Holy Spirit and make time for the other too. It’s amazing how it can totally transform you.
