For as long as I can remember a grandmother in my family has cooked New Year’s Day dinner. Well through the years it dwindled down. When I started courting my wife her grandmother cooked it as well.. as the years passed by bad health and death handed that role to my wife.. and she’s darn good at it. Peas/jowl cornbread greens taters pork chops corn beef I’ve had this very meal for as long as I could remember and today’s I believe for some reason was the best! I’m on round two for supper.
Yall have any traditional food every year? We do all the same, with ham instead of pork chops this year. Just had my 2nd plate.
To GOD be All the glory!!!

I cook every year for New Years. Cabbage, black eyed peas, corn bread and meat balls.
