I've thought about getting a smokeless ML to play with but it won't be a $9K dollar one...
Keep your booger hooker off the bang switch.

If I was looking to go this route, I'd go in this direction. McWhorter 45 XML Muzzleloader Smokeless or it'll also shoot BH209 for the states that wont allow smokeless on the MLs.
"Shooting the Pittman 325gr Aeromax with a custom load recipe, we are able to achieve speeds up to 3100fps. A 325 grain bullet going 3100fps has well over 6900 ft lbs of kinetic energy at the muzzle. At 500 yards the same bullet has 3000+ ft lbs of kinetic energy with a retained velocity of 2000+ fps." "
Guaranteed 1/2" MOA and "Bargain" at only $6,595.

These are more like a high powered rifle than a muzzleloader. In .45 caliber they have a muzzle velocity of ~2800 fps! Guy I know killed a bull elk with his at 770 yards! Way out of my reach with a starting price over $9K!😳 Arrowhead Rifles will build you one that does that for about half the price.

Why not? My reason is I like accurate rifles of any kind and if I can shoot a muzzle loader out to 1k accurately it interests me but shooting are two different things but if I get comfortable shooting that ML at longer ranges I'd definitely shoot a deer with it.

There is a video on YouTube by the guy that bought Thompson Center where he was showing how stout the encores are by double loading it (powder sabot powder sabot) and by accidentally double loading powder (2 powder charges one sabot). The encore handled both of those with only damage to the stock. Then he tested with smokeless powder and it blew the barrel up, separated the barrel from the frame, and damaged the frame. If he put the same amount of smokeless in then of course that happened. Smokeless is ~3x as strong, and it burns much faster (creates higher pressure). I would think that you could press it with something to slow the rate of the explosion and make a save smokeless pellet for Mz. Not for ballistics, but so you don't have to clean them as often.
