Front just went through, its going to be extra cold tomorrow, skies are clearing through the day. As far as hunting around here goes its hard to do better than that.

Ya'll can always use that if you need it. You have my blessing. If your wife complains about you going hunting, tell her its an order from the Guvner,. You have to go as much as you hate it, orders are orders.

For the first time in many years, I have almost zero desire to hunt. Bankhead was fun while the hogs held out but I care little about sitting in the cold waiting on a damn nocturnal pine goat on sparse public land. Honestly, I'll be glad when deer season is over. At least then I can go hike the back country without concerns of who may be out there pointing a rifle at every sound in the brush.

Well this afternoon was a bust at our club in Shelby County. Nobody saw anything which is odd.
But it was a good day in the woods. Found a nice scrape line that was very fresh. I too used this thread as additional reasons to ignore my honey-do list and some self-appointed office work and climb a tree instead!

Saw Bucks yesterday . One morning and one in the afternoon. Morning buck looked like a young 2 yr old forked horn.Afternoon buck much bigger looking like maybe an 8 just would not stop.Went back this morning and stayed until after lunch . Didn’t see a deer. Go figure🤔
