Are they any count?
Currently hsve a Vortex Crossfire 3-9x40 on my muzzleloader. Thought the Leupold would be an upgrade.

I’ve had one. Thought they were pretty solid.

Should be an upgrade from the crossfire. From what I’ve read, on par with the old VX-1s

I have a VX-3HD that I bought from a member on here, and it is a good scope. I feel like the VX-Freedom is also decent for the money. I would probably opt for the non CDS version though.

I just had a bunch of trouble out of one of the VX-6HD’s. Bought it brand new and it wouldn’t hold zero. Sent it in for a warranty claim and still wasn’t working right upon return. Thankfully EuroOptic made it right, but I was very disappointed in it. I’m not sure if the quality of Leupold has degraded that much, or if I just got unlucky. Either way my experience was enough for me to be discouraged from buying another one of their scopes.

I’ve put a freedom on my son’s gun. And I also have a vortex diamondback. I have not compared at dark. I think they will be pretty close. But far as eye relief, the freedom is a lot better. That’s why I chose it over the vortex diamondback for my younger son.

Freedom is a definite step up from Crossfire.

I have been using the Freedom since it hit the market. I got a chuckle because the glass was as good as my VX3’s. It has a different type rings too that are supposed to be more durable. The click adjustments seem softish but I’ve never had one move and I’m hell on firearms

I have a VX Freedom I got a number of years ago, its a great scope. The way Leupold used to do their lens coatings, the lower line scopes would end up with very good lense coatings as the advanced their coatings. A VX-1 used to come with multi--coat 4, which was their top of the line a few years prior. Multi-coat 4 got great reviews if I remember right.

I think where Leupold really shines is the eye box. It's not picky.

Concur with the leupold eyebox performance, especially in the 3x9s.

I have a vx freedom 3x9x40. I like the scope, but wish I hadn't ordered the CDS system. I almost never shoot over 100 yards and any little bump to the gun can throw the scope off zero (either high or low). I think when I zero it in next, I'll duct tape the darn elevation turret to the scope. lol, I've lost a deer or two because of that.
