Set up on a hardwood flat that butts up against thick bedding area and pines on one side. Walked all the way back here only to have forgotten my ropes for my saddle. I sat down in the ground for a few minutes contemplating hiking out to get my ropes or just trying to make a ground blind. While I was sitting in the ground had a good Buck ease in here on top of me. I thought he was behind a tree so I grabbed my bow he caught me moving and eased back where he came from. Saw a real nice Buck on the side of the road on the drive in about a mile from where I'm at. Sitting in the ground now Ina makeshift blind. Stay safe and good luck.

Just had a young 8 sneak up on me. 10 yards away, behind me and to my right. Couldn't do anything with him except watch him easier on by

Set up in the edge of a slough with thick pines on one side and hardwoods on the other. This used to be a jam up spot this time of year but so many trees have fallen it's cut off from one end. First time I've been in here all season, doesn't feel like a great spot but we'll see. Stay safe and good luck.
