Yep, this would be a consequence of the Covid shut down of 2020 as well. Kids today don't get the benefit of a real snow day anymore thanks to virtual school which most parents do not want to deal with either. Either they already have jobs that they work from home or are able to work from home when necessary or they chose to send their kids to school because they were already aware that they did not have the temperament to home school in the first place.

It is definitely and inconvenience for most. Some folks who have jobs that they have to still go to (first responders, medical personnel) may have to have grandparents watch the kids and then that can add a whole other level of problems.

This is nothing but collecting FEDERAL BIDEN DEMOCRAT ATTENDANCE MONEY its the Number One condition for the gravy train from the Department of Education Metric used for money figuring. Thats it. The school got the checkbox for minimum required. Actual learning time at school is formally metricized at a set rate. The last one I saw in 2020 was 1.2 for 8.
