Its just really, really annoying how big companies act and why people should step in and override “money” and profit when the folks who make that profit for you are being done chitty…..My wife is a go-getter who has been pharmacy manager of the year several times and has taken the current store she’s at from last in the district to one of the top performers……and then when time comes that she needs to be taken care of……nope……not even going to pay for the tow truck to get you out of the ditch on the way home if you get stuck after they put you in a bad spot……Its that way will all big companies now…..The irony being that it’s the exact opposite of the philosophy many companies like this were founded on...…..The whole reason many of them became successful in the beginning was through genuine concern for their employees.

Meh....rant over I suppose.....moving on with life. smile

Theres only a couple of things that matter to the business and in court.

Was she performing duties of the business when she was driving?

Did the actions of the business cause her to be hit by another driver.

You would hope there would be a better game plan on the companies part to handle these type situations in a reasonable manner…..but apparently they arent responsible for any of it so it doesn’t matter……That was kind of my point with the original question…..not that anyone is about to sue anyone…..but just damn, how can folks hold your job over your head and force you into such a bad position and then not bear any responsibility for the outcome….

It would be far different if it was just one of those things where chit happens and it wasn’t forseeable, etc……but it was completely a matter of someone else making bad decisions and you having to bear ALL the brunt of it…..Makes you grit your teeth and call people bad names…..One of the downfalls of working for big companies……I know if I would have had to go out that night and fish my wife off the side of the interstate I was gonna be ready to start opening up cans on somebody…….. laugh

The company bears absolutely ZERO responsibility for the accident.

Even Alex would fall out of his chair laughing if you called him about this situation.

Yep.

Omar would take the case anyway. He wins even if the case dont have a damn chance before the client calls.

I work in a hospital, so we're always given the option to just camp out at work or leave. If you're scheduled to be there, then they expect you to be there and will accommodate you. I stayed the night on Tuesday night because I get off when it's dark and was scheduled to be back the next day before daylight. I'm single, so it was an easy decision for me. My shift ended at 11:30am yesterday so the roads were thawed enough to make it home.
