I’m on the hunt to try somewhere I’ve been before. I have a few does hanging in a cooler that I plan on doing all sausage since that’s what I eat the most. I’m willing to drive a few hours, and the meat will be deboned.

What’s everyone’s recommendation?

First year I've used Reeds in Clanton and I'm impressed. Smoked link sausage and summer sausage is very good

Don't know about the pineapple, but this hand down the best I've had. Worth a trip.

I have a good friend that uses CJ's in Jack, AL and he said their link sausage is the best he has ever had.

I know you know him but PLP in pine level has the best sausage I’ve ever had. Not saying he’s the best. Just saying it the best I’ve ever had. That sweet Italian is excellent. I’m getting some jalapeño and cheddar link sausage with the buck I shot last week.

Summer sausage from Richeys in Greensboro is the best I’ve had.

I've always heard that the Skinny's brand is pretty good but I've never been on the list to get any so I can't personally attest.

Link from souths finest in Pelham is better than any pork sausage you can buy.
I will take them one or two to so nothing but link with. Jalapeño and cheese, pepper jack, and the pineapple one are my three favorites in order

Doc, I was told he wasn’t taking anymore deer this year from non-members. I really liked his jalapeño and cheese and maple from a deer I had processed last year.

South Alabama Meats! NOT! They used to be great 10’years ago! Changed ownership and it went south quick. Got some smoked sausage there and couldn’t eat it because it was that bad. Took all three bags back and left them on the counter.

Quail Farms in Lucedale, MS is my favorite.

Hell I'd say it was horrible 10 PLUS years ago and was getting better! 😆 Anyways same folks that owned it before took over (when it changed back) Sadly been down turn since 20 go figure 🤷🏾‍♂️
