Shot my first deer with this caliber and load on Saturday. Good gravy it looked like it swallowed a hand grenade. Wished I would have taken some pics because you wouldn't believe it. Neck shot nearly removed it's head and neck right in front of the shoulders. I've seen a LOT of deer shot with a LOT of different loads / calibers, but nothing like this.
Deer was 80 yards away

Not a 257wby mag but my brother shot the first deer with the 100gr ttsxs out of the 25wssm. Mercy it did a number on those shoulders. Went straight down and never moved.

There was an entry hole bigger than a grapefruit. Dam.... yer bullet blew up BPI? No lie... Had a 12 year old kid with me Saturday afternoon that dropped a 6 pointer in his tracks with a 308/168 grain Speer Gold Dot. Deer barely kicked. 100 yard shot. Nothing crazy. Kid never mentioned recoil. Maybe try a 110 Accubond that's what I shoot in .257 Roy.

There was an entry hole bigger than a grapefruit. Dam.... yer bullet blew up BPI? Sure looked that way. Near every ttsx I've shot has an exit no matter how close or how fast it's going. But if there was one this time I couldn't find it.

I'm happy with the results. Couldn't get any deader and dropped like a sack of rocks. I'm hoping to test out the 90 gr Hammer bullets I've loaded in my 257 Bee if I get a chance to go in the next couple of weeks. 3900 FPS should be entertaining...

My 257 loves the ttsx. The deer don’t Mine too. My oldest son likes carrying it every now and then. First time he used it he shot ol one horned buck, and deer went probably 15 yards out of the field, and when i got down there he say daddy it look like somebody took can of red paint and just slung it everywhere 😆

Not with a TTSX. All that I've shot with them in multiple calibers have had both entrances and exits. Entrance has always been std caliber size, exits are always quarter/silver dollar up to 3" diameter depending on distance, velocity at impact, and what it hits/destroys on the way through.

Have yall seen what I'm talking about ? Is a crater the size of a small volleyball normal ? Don't get me wrong, I like it but dang. Do usually with mine, but I'm shooting the Tipped TSX
