The one in Montgomery sux in every aspect, worst heath care in America! Glad you had a somewhat good experience Can't even see a real MD any more. They are all NP's now. There is a world of difference in an MD and an NP. I saw a cardiology NP awhile back and asked her a simple question and she could not even answer it. I looked it up when I got home and it was fairly simple to answer. I'm about to give up on them. I'm retired with Medicare but I also have Physicians Mutual and it covers everything. I never pay to go to a Dr outside the VA, but the VA charges like $35 just to see an NP. That is because Medicare does not pay the VA anything. Same on the civilian side at most urgent cares and similar places

Got out in 1994 Kodiak. Deployment was over in 91. Do dates matter? Most everyone I went over there with is getting a check. I just need to get medical set up for now.

NEVER FORGET ! LMAO, you're correct, the military DID NOT force anyone to take the Covid vaccine, it was optional. Some took it before knowing there was an option. Some Commands may have pushed the limit though. I know 2 guys that were less than 3yrs from retirement and they bounced. The military DID make me take vaccines for 28yrs and some were new and unproven. You wanna make clear what you meant by party lines?

I was asked several times if I wanted the shot but it was never pushed on me. When I declined, just like the flu shot, they said okay and that was the end of it. Now, I'm sure the employees were strongly coerced to have the vaccine but it wasn't pushed on the patients. Not in my experience anyway.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

The DA New Zealanders that bought the farm I was at tried to make us get it lol. I asked if one of the 1,000 cows I was working with were gonna give me covid and walked out on them. Pure stupid!

Actually I did for reflux and ibs in 98, got denied. I still have the denial letter. I figured I’d at least start using the medical/prescription part.

Won't know if you qualify until you go talk to them. Depending on how you qualify some people have a co- pay, and some people don't qualify at all. There's a million difference ways to qualify

Get with a county VSO or DAV/VFW VSO nearby and do a new claim. If ya have medical records take them, if not the records will have to be requested. They do claims FREE

The VA Center in west Mobile has been very good for me. Immaculately cleaner than any hospital I have been in and the staff go out of their way to be polite and helpful. Lab work yesterday, called back 4 minutes past my appt time and the tech could not stop apologizing for it, even when I told her that was the longest I have ever waited past an appt time. I see an MD, takes his job very seriously and only his nurse checks me in, gives me a shot or does any other medical entries or checks. Only good things to say about this facility, lucky to have them. I go to the same VA in Mobile. Nice new facility and it has "mostly" been great experiences there. I've been going since they opened it about 8 years ago and probably have only walked out pissed one time. I'll also go to the one in Biloxi for some specialty stuff at times and they do well too.

I’ve got to get my VA medical set up. Everybody’s been telling me for years to get it done. At my age now, I may need it soon.
You just need the DD-214
