I built an AR 7.62x39 with a 16” stainless BCA barrel and it’s one of my favorite guns to shoot and hunt with. Hogs hate it. Only issue is magazines. Make sure you get a quality 7.62x39 mag or you’ll have feeding issues.

I shoot suppressed Hornady Sub-X subsonic 255 grain loads out of a 10.5" barrel in mine...quiet, and thumps. Deer and hogs hate it.
100 yards and under, obviously. Falls off a table after that.
And yes...mags can be an issue. C-Products Duramags usually work well. There is a magazine called the Unimag that will pretty much feed any AR-15 round, and I like it a lot for 7.62x39 in an AR. More expensive, but it flat out works, and is versatile.

Do some research on Radical Firearms AR’s before you pursue that “good deal”

I actually like some of the diamondback AR’s better. They’re not much higher. I’m gonna stick with 10 round mags fyi, if that helps. I don’t like mags sticking way down.

Those look decent in person. Buy it and a case of ammo. Replace what breaks. Be good enough by the time the case is gone.

I have a 7.62 Ruger American and have shot a few deer with it. Its not a .308 but it has low recoil and works well at 100 yds or less as stated above, Mine likes good ammo like Hornady Black with SST bullets. Great caliber for a small food plot rifle and for ladies and kids since the recoil/blast is low but you are still shooting a .30 cal bullet. Entry holes kills them but exit holes finds them!

Ive never seen one but what can you expect for $400? I dont shoot all that much. For me, i reckon it would look just about as good as the one for $1200 sitting in the gunsafe.

Build your own or buy a Bear Creek Arsenal. I've fixed too many flucked up Radicals.

I have one of those. It seems to do just fine for what I do with it. First AR I ever owned. I haven’t shot it a lot, but as long as you are using rounds designed for the platform and not anything that will hang in the ramps then I’d not hesitate to buy another one.
I put a trigger in mine and bought dura mags.

This is the only magazine line to buy for an AR47. https://dura-mag.com/duramag-ss-7-62-39-ar-15-stainless-steel/ I prefer the 28 rd size but they are out of stock.
