One with 1,000 hours, can definitely tell the other to change course if they know something is wrong. He isn't sitting there with his hands on his d$%^ jerking off to thinking he has a lesbian next to him. The other with 500 hours, so she wants to smoosh with the President and his DEI stuff he has around him, 500 hours is a bunch in a helo, period. There is something else a miss in this quagmire.
I would still look at the FAA in this mess. You have two pilots, four counting copilots, all have eyes, radar, and are being controlled by one ATC. All pilots have flown in that vector before, guess where my money is pointing.

I’d read where the Blackhawk had its tracking system turned off along with its warning systems for air and ground radar.
Watching the new video it looks like it was intentional but honestly wouldn’t bet on it.

Watching the new video it looks like it was intentional but honestly wouldn’t bet on it. Why would anyone fly with their systems off with that kind of congestion? Why were they over their elevation limit for that area? That alone indicates something was done on purpose. Altimeter doesn't turn off. If you have the pilot experience we've been told was in that helicopter, then why did none of the pilots correct that one simple thing to prevent an accident. Not one, Not two, but three different people in that plane should have caught that. Coincidence? I doubt it.

All pilots have flown in that vector before, guess where my money is pointing. All of that sounds good, but there is one known fact at this time...the copter was over 100 ft above the hard ceiling for that route. Could be pilot caused, could be instrumentation error (unlikely). If the copter is at its proper altitude, both aircraft arrive safely at their individual destinations.

I don't know much about the Blackhawk. I've been a passenger a few times, that's about it. But some who should know have said the Blackhawk can be remotely flown. I wouldn't doubt it with the unmanned capability we have.

Now, personally I would think there's got to be a hard line disconnect between the pilot controls and any sort of automated control. Maybe not, again I dint know. But even the utility world, with automated line switches, there's a LOCAL and REMOTE option. Once placed in LOCAL operation the switch cannot be remotely operated.

I’m guessing it’ll be something was off with the instrumentation.

Yep; they have already stated in a presser that the tower radar was showing the copter at 200' The chances of both the tower AND the copter's radars both being off are astronomical. It's already established that the collision happened well above 200'.

It's already established that the collision happened well above 200'. From what I understand, the tower receives height data from the plane/copters transponder and the pilots get their height from their altimeter. Could that have been jacked up, I’ve got no idea. I’m simply defaulting to two professionals NOT making a very fatal error.
