are you putting on an AR15 that you occasionally plan to use for hunting, but primarily plinking?

I've got a Arken and a vortex strike eagle LVPO both work fine.

When I owned one I had a red dot on it. Just used it for plinking and shooting hogs.

A decent LPVO will make it 30 minutes after, in the open, if it's not too cloudy. The girl child killed several deer with a Burris MTAC. If I were buying today it'd be SWFA.

A red dot that turns down real low for night vision will work as long as you can see with just your eyes. I have both. You have to look at those in person because everyone's eyes see dots differently. It's not always the more expensive one that is better.

That's dedication right there.

I have a Burris on mine. Drives tacks at 175 to 200 yards. It’s my yote gun. Love to see fur fly.

one thing to consider if you buy an ar specific scope is the weight, I bought an ar bushnell scope to put on for hunting. it's a super great scope clarity wise I feel like it shouldv'e cost twice as much, but it was a steel scope instead of aluminum which made it heavy.

My 450 BM has a 1-5 Minox 30MM scope on it. I like it alright, but I did pick up a Vortex Viper 2.5-10x44 that I may stick on it. Old man eyes need more magnification. My 5.56 has a Leupold 3-9x40 on it. My 6.5 Grendel has a 2.5-10x44 Vortex Viper. My AR-10 has a 3-12x44 Zeiss.

I will say putting the scope in a cantilever mount is better than using rings. My Zeiss is in Vortex rings, but I am going to switch to a mount. The Zeiss is the best of the bunch. The Vipers aren't bad, the Minox is better than the Vortex. I wouldn't be surprised if it was made by Leica. Its really pretty good past legal shooting light.

It's short too. Fixed stock, 16 in barrel, short muzzle brake. Shorter than my Ruger carbine bolt guns.

Vortex Struck strike eagles are nice. LVPO fills the bill nicely.
