Ours went out around 2:30 this morning, wind was howling but just a few limbs around the house and driveway. Rode around the loop and can’t see anything on our line but did see some trees down a few miles from the house. We kinda remote so ours won’t be top priority to get back on

No timeline for us. There are so many lines down and poles snapped it’ll be a minute. Didn’t see many out working which tells me it’s widespread.
Mayor said earlier that still some lines are live tangled up in trees so be careful. Saw lines running across the streets and baracades had been moved. Lots of chainsaws inning in the background and saw several damaged homes with trees in them.
One guy I know his house was demolished and the good lord was looking over them. Tree fell on top their kids rooms and luckily not hurt though one had a tree on top of her.

Sight seers are causing problems. Love how they feel entitled to move barricades and then have to turn around. Geez

30 years of working storm jobs, the sightseers were always a problem. They slow down recovery efforts and sometimes get themselves into trouble. Back in 93 people were getting stuck and stranded in the snow when they didn't have any business being out there. We even had numerous complaints from those very people because we didn't take the time to pull them out. 🙄

Yeah the sheriffs deputies and Tuscumbia PD are trying to curtail the sight seers. I went and got a lot of ice trying to save freezer and frig contents.

They all wore neon green long sleeve shirts. The front and back read something like, I’m deaf and don’t speak or listen to anyone. Call BR549 to complain.

I would not have allowed that.

There are 2 separate stands of dead pine trees up the road from my house and yet again one of them fell on the line last night. Power was out until 11 this mornin. 3rd time one of those dead pines fell on the line and knocked out the power. Getting old I wish the landowner would do something about it.

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!
