Good. I hope he scraps all the ATF rules that weren't passed by congress and signed into law. lf I want to own a howitzer and can afford it, I should be able to.

It’s not “preventing” anyone from gaining access to them. They can be made in a few hours by terrorist groups or your uncle Bob.

It’s sad when Europe is more free than here.
SBRs fall into that same category.

I’m not positive how I feel about full auto, then again the ones using it or Glock switches will not follow the law anyways.

You can make one out of an oil filter but the problem is they can arrest you for even having an oil filter that has been used that way.

They tease us with this every couple of years, but it seems like they always use it as a bargaining chip for other stuff instead. I'll believe it when I see it (and I sincerely hope I'm wrong).

Agreed.
But I NEVER thought I’d see BILLIONS of dollars taken back from government “parked” accounts. Just might happen.
They shoot Pres-to-be in the ear, and he’s getting it done like NOW!!!

If he did that the price of suppressors would drop like a rock.

Suppressors should be hanging on a peg, in blister packs, right between the rifle slings and the cleaning supplies, for < $100 each

I don't think they would, at least for a while.

The laws of supply and demand still apply. You can go on Silencer Shop, etc right now, and there are lots of "out of stock" and "backorder" items on every page. Remove a barrier to purchasing them, and that situation only gets worse as demand increases...probably drastically.

It could encourage more manufacturers to enter the arena, but that would take time.

My guess is virtually every gun manufacturer would start making them PDQ and current manufacturers would invest HEAVILY in upping production. The market would be flooded quick and prices would drop accordingly.

Then there’s the homemade option too. Hell you can already legally make your own but you still have to have it approved and “serialized”. Presumably if this went through, you could make your own without all the red tape

Should be as common as slings

SBR’s absolutely should be taken off the NFA registry. I don’t have a big problem with full auto staying like it is, with the exception of getting rid of the pre1986 thing. I wouldn’t have an issue paying $200 for the stamp, but limiting civilians to pre 1986 manufactured guns and auto sears make them too expensive.
