Shot a big boar about 200 lbs a couple weeks ago. I drug it off to a clearing on our property. Rode by it today and it is still there, buzzards and coyotes have not touched it . I always heard that they will not eat a boar hog, maybe its true.

I've seen them stripped to nothing in a week or two.

I have heard that it helps to cut the hide, so it's easier to get to the meat.

Yep. Be a rough job now, but if you’ll cut him open, they’ll eat it.

Cut it open. Put some corn and molasses on it. Got to sweetin it up! Then other hogs will eat it.

I always basically gutted them - they'd be gone pretty quickly.
