Guess you'll have to settle for a Freeman!!

Freeman is what one guy suggested as our next boat. Supposed to be the cats meow of offshore boats.

I fished on them a bunch out of Venice, awesome boats for sure. I've fished on about every kind of offshore boat out there and I would choose a Freeman if I could afford it!

Probably have to have power for the bilge pump, if the boat is left in the water like that.

Batteries were turned off but the shore power was hooked up to maintain the batteries and run a dehumidifier in the cabin

We have 1 or 2 marine fires a year. The last one was about 1 month ago. All that I have been on have started at the shore power. My old camper had the same type plug, and it shorted out but the breaker kicked off before a fire started.

Hate to see this. Boats can be replaced. It could have been big trouble if you had ben out fishing.

FWIW I would stick with a v haul and not a cat in the Gulf where swells come from every direction. I like cats in the Atlantic where you get a predominant swell from the east.

Dang CAL I hate that. Glad the boat was the only loss. I saw the vids on FB. That could’ve been really bad miles offshore. Post pics of the next boat though.

Long time ago I remember when there was a big fire at Kowaliga, where all the boats were stored inside. I live 5 miles away and could see it at night.
