Been watching a lot of baseball lately. Mostly high school ball..It sounds about like a softball game with the chants, and every player has a celebration even when they walk… When a pitcher leaves the mound at the end of the inning from a strikeout, he’s a bad momma jomma… may grab his pecker and shake it, may stare down the other dugout, lots of Thor screaming…when did all this start happening and why?

We won a championship last year - did not see lot of that! We lost a lot - gonna take some lumps now!! 😀

I umpire baseball. There is a little of that that goes on down here but it’s not terrible. Most kids are respectful. Now they all do celebrate a double or a triple with something to their own dugout but it’s not too bad.

Thomasville high school - we had 2 really good pitchers and good bats and tremendous speed from 8 of our starters and the other was great bat cleanup hitter.

It can be fixed the same way jack wagons have always been fixed in the game. Bowties and #1 in the ribs. It worked for Satchel Paige&Nolan Ryan.

Today's generation is a product of the previous generation. I don't blame kids , I blame the apathetic parents and epidemic of fatherless homes.

I believe it has a lot to do with the coaching… they will get away with as much as they are let . I coach/help coach my sons age group bc no one wants to do it, but never have an issue

You left out the most notorious for handling those things in his own way and that was Bob Gibson. Read some of the stories other players would tell about him. They were truly terrified to try to stare him down because if they did they knew what was coming and it wasn't going to be fun.

That kid throws one at another kid on purpose and misses high and hits little Johnny in the face and you got a 11 year old having reconstructive surgery all because you want to send a message? Come on man

The players and fans are bored to death so got to come up with something to entertain everyone during a game.

Teaching the fundamentals of how to play the game have been eroded by our society's softness. You bodyblock my 2nd base/shortstop next time up you get a free base and bruised ribs. If you can't take it don't give it. I think at 13 is about the right time to teach how the game should be played let the youth be youth.
