I need something fairly large. Preferably something that is rated for 64 or more (I know they don’t hold half of what they say they will.)

Buy big enough to start with.

My first was a Summit from Southland Safes.

Outgrew it in no time.

Sold it to a buddy and now I have a Fort Knox.

About outgrown it.

I like Fort Knox safes and I really like Southland Safes.

They don't make one that's bigger than what you need.

If you know what is twice that you need, add 1/3rd. You’ll add important papers, jewelry, wills and other stuff.

Either Summit or Fort Knox.

Dial only, no keypad. I don't know a ton of people who had to get a locksmith to get into their safe, but they all had keypads instead of dials.

The capacity rating is single shot shotguns with no optics. Real world is half or less, unless you store rifle bolts separately, and it is still less than 60%. More like 25% if you plan to store anything on the side shelves.

American Security safes. 2" concrete in the walls and 1/2" plate on the door.

Literally weighs a ton.

She is either a pigmy or that safe is a monster. Both look great. Coop, buy the best and biggest safe you can. It is a 1 time, lifetime purchase that you family will use and enjoy for many lifetimes. Southland Safes is the place to go and anchor it to the floor. Thieves don't try to open a safe in the home, they just turn it over and roll them out to a van.

It's a ten foot tall safe with a short gal photoshopped into the pic. I don't know what you need a 10' safe for, but it's worth noting that a lot of them are too short for long barrel shotguns with extended chokes.

I have actually seen that yellow Champion on the road a few times. I think it's based somewhere near Atlanta.

I would consider several smaller safes located in multiple rooms around the house. That’s just my thought.

I prefer a dial safe or if electronic it must have a key back up.
