What would Kid Rock Do about this E-mail................. rofl..............................................................................................................................................................................................................demand that fed employees list their accomplishments roils workforce: 'Mass civil disobedience'
'This is a good opportunity for mass civil disobedience,' Democratic Rep. Sean Casten posted to X

Trump’s trust in Elon Musk is ‘very clear,’ says White House correspondent
Department of Government Efficiency chair Elon Musk announced that federal employees must report their accomplishments from the last week or face losing their jobs, which has roiled the federal workforce as some Democratic lawmakers and unions call on employees to flout the directive.

"This is a good opportunity for mass civil disobedience. Musk has no authority to do this. Encourage all federal employees to report to work, prepare GFY letters and continue to demonstrate the public service and patriotism he lacks," Illinois Democratic Rep. Sean Casten posted to X on Saturday evening.

The acronym GFY is internet slang typically meaning "go f--- yourself." shocked ..... beers

"It takes a remarkable combination of arrogance and stupidity to think that this is the best use of time for our intelligence officers, VA workers, air traffic controllers, and everyone else we depend on to do their job well," he continued.

Congressman Casten wasn't the only lawmaker to offer a vulgar reaction to musk's directive with senator Tina Smith (D-Minn.) raging on X, "This is the ultimate d–k boss move from Musk – except he isn’t even the boss, he’s just a d—,"

Smith continued her post writing, "I bet a lot of people have had an experience like this with a bad boss — there’s an email in your inbox on Saturday night saying, ‘Prove to me your worthiness by Monday or else.’ I’m on the side of the workers, not the billionaire —hole bosses."

Musk said on Saturday that federal employees would receive an email directing them to list their accomplishments from the week prior, with the DOGE leader adding later that day that the assignment should take less than five minutes to accomplish. Employees have until 11:59 pm on Monday to send the list or lose their employment, according to emails regarding Musk's directive that were sent by the Office of Personnel...............................................Have a nice day!!!...........

It's amazing and tells you everything you need to know that the federal employees are whining about having to put a small bullet list of items they did last week. I have to keep detailed time track of everything I do every day!!!!

Requiring the list is fine. What is STUPID is requiring a response by 11:59pm on Monday!!

From what I understand, you must use a government computer at work to reply to the email. There are 1000's of Federal workers on Vacation, not scheduled for work on Monday, sick, in remote locations working, etc...No plan in-place for them to not respond until they return to work without fear of being fired.

Hmmm....

So how the hell can they do their work remotely if they can't even reply to an email remotely?

Well for one, they were ordered to return to work so theres that. I mean seriously, the people on leave (either sick or annual), not scheduled to work or whatever...what they supposed to do? I dont bring my laptop home, my work is not conducive for it. Throw in for 30+ years, i was told to not to bring home to work or take work to the house. It easily coulda been me since i had a surgical procedure done last monday and was out the next 2 days on doctors orders. Throw on top, we put what we do, by the quarter hour, in our webta. Its redundant.

But then this does make sense.

Their direct manager is supposed to review the responses, not Elon. Hopefully the direct manager is aware of any circumstances where they are out. But then again, Biden didn't even know the SECDEF was having a major surgery, so who knows. Any complaints about this just point back to how horribly bloated and dysfunctional the government is.

My nephew is constantly deployed in undisclosed locations for weeks at a time around the world without any way for traditional contact. Not that uncommon.

When his father was in critical condition in ICU after a heart attack it took a phone call to a certain number and 3 days before he was able to get home from wherever he was located and 2 days before he was able to call back.

I'm just guessing here, but the guess is those roles are not subject to this thing. I think the entire email thing is a bit stupid, but its obviously designed to send a message and it worked.

People that are supposed to be at a desk are being told to get behind that desk and their productivity is being monitored.

Don't go spitting facts. I really hope Trump gets all these cuts done before he finds out his base would prefer things stay the same until we can do another useless study. Cutting 2 trillion takes a chainsaw not a knife. SMH....

I’m sure that he didn’t get that email so he doesn’t have to reply. I’m sure it’s the desk sitters that got it.
