Took the boys to the farm the other day looking for treasures. All in all we were out there most of a day, just piddling around. It’s good to get kids outside and let them be kids.

We found old pennies, a bullet, plenty of jar lids and enough old nails to fill a bucket. I think they like digging holes more than anything. laugh

Any way to guess the age of the bullet? I don’t figure it would be super old, but it was under the ground, so I have no clue.

Kudos to you Sir. If you have calipers, measure the width of the base of the bullet so you can possibly guesstimate the caliber weapon it was fired from. Looks like a fun time.

The way the bullet is mushroomed, I wouldn’t expect it to be that old.

Cool. What’s the story on the old house? Hopefully those chimney remains wont get knocked down by trees for a while

Find where the front door area is, dig some holes, screen the dirt. best area to find lost silver coins, dimes, quarters. Also V nickels and various penny forms.
The front stoop is where folks would sit and piddle and lose pocket money.
