Hope some poor Forester didn’t let a site prep burn get away from him.
Looks like a big block of fresh cutover in the area that they are describing.

It was smokey all day yesterday in Calhoun co, and I heard that it was because 150 acres was on fire just south of Glencoe somewhere, I dont guess they ever put it out idk....Unless some Idot is out there setting them, seems like they would have got it put out yesterday....Just got off the phone with a buddy that lives out there on Charley Penny and he's in the middle of moving his car, truck and boat over to the church.....

I was worried it was going to get my FIL house but they made it through safe.

I know a few folks that live on Cove Rd. Hope they made it through with minimal to no damage.

Something big on fire west of Evergreen, it may have started as a controlled burn, but the plume of smoke coming from it is huge. It's smoky all around my house and I can smell it but don't think it's even really that close to me. Just went to town and could see it from the Evergreen exit really well.

No doubt. I’m not sure of mixing height and transport winds, but evidently it’s not ideal. Smoke sitting everywhere right now.

I know why, but evidently the people calling 911 for “smoke in the area” don’t. I’m tired of that call, along with several others coming thru. Before u go to dialing 911, do just a little bit of investigating yourself and determine whether it’s needed or not. Don’t be a “do gooder with a cell phone!” Quit sending a million or more dollars out on the roads for no damn reason. They’re likely to be needed elsewhere besides chasing smoke, a stalled car, a person laying down, or whatever other reason you decided to be an “upstanding citizen” and call 911 for and didn’t even bother to check on the situation yourself. Good lord, I can’t wait for retirement. I’ll take my arse to bed now.
