Hello, all.

I am an avid deer hunter, but I have never hunted turkey in my life.

I am an educator and plan to go during spring break, but I was looking for outfitter recommendations. I would like to do a paid hunt with a guide just to see what it is all about.

I'm confident I can do it myself with a little practice, but wanted to go with someone to begin with. I am open to outfitters in Alabama.

Thanks for the suggestions on someone reputable.

No I put on who, because I did it the aggravating way, but the subspecies most aggravating to get without an outifitter is the one below Orlando. So down there is where I'd look.

Going to be tough to find one at this late date for the first week of the season.

Your best bet is to go tag along with someone and learn from them.

An outfitter probably isn’t going to take much time to teach when he’s trying to be making money

The state has a Turkey 101 seminar put on by the DCNR that is a good way to scratch the surface

If you have property to hunt that has turkeys to kill you might find some here willing.

You have any turkey on the deer hunting property? laugh

if you have property with turkeys on it it will not be hard to find someone to take you.

True story. Not hard to find a tagged out turkey addict to call for you in late season IF you have birds.

You take a turkey hunter on your land they’ll end up trying to hunt it themselves

There’s a sticky thread a top of page that contains a lot of solid advice.

solid advice. I don’t want another turkey hunter anywhere around me. Whether I like the person, outside of hunting, or not
