Anyone have any experience with them? They seem to have good reviews. I’m going to need to buy something for my 80 year old mother to get around on the property we are buying and moving to, and don’t want to spend a fortune on one of the big name brands. I had thought of a golf cart but I talked to a fellow that works on/sales them, and he said with the cost of batteries, he’d recommend buying a gasoline sxs. So, looking online, I can buy a new tractor supply one, off brand, as cheap as a 10 year old used name brand.

They are usually knock offs of older Japanese model engines. The problem is they are made in China and the chinese don't have quality control. I've know a few people who buy those off models and have been tempted to a few times myself. Anything from 50cc motorcycles/atv up to biggers stuff.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

I’d be concerned with a lack of parts down the road

They used to be a Yamaha Rhino clone, but don’t know if they stuck with Yamaha (Viking) or if it is a different clone, now.
experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

I’d be concerned with a lack of parts down the road I'd be more concerned that it will last long enough to make needing parts down the road feasible.

My office manager has had one about 4 yrs. She loves it. Zero issues. It is parked inside and gets the type of use you are describing

Not much maintenance on electric other than monitoring the water level in each battery and keeping it charged. A set of batteries will easily last 4-5 years.
I have a nice Club Car electric cart that I would sell. It’s garage kept and has 1 year old batteries that have been properly maintained. It’s lifted with a new silver body, upgraded black seat covers, black top, upgraded 14” wheels & 23” tires, flip over rear seat, windshield, LED light bar, side mirrors and a folding rail that creates a “bed” when the rear seat is down.

What about a gas golf cart? That is what I was thinking too but a lot of neighbors and relatives up here have e golf carts and don't seem to have too many issues if they maintain them properly. This is on paved roads though at short distances. I wouldn't recommend one for muddy conditions in the country.

I have a customer that has had a bighorn explorer 400 for several years. He loves it and is seems to be a pretty good made machine. No it’s not a speed demon but has plenty of power to use to work out of and has been dependable. It’s used every day to check and feed cows. If you’re wanting to ride all day in comfort. Don’t buy one. If you want something to get around on for a reasonable price you might want to look at them.

My neighbor has had a Massimo for probably 7 or 8 years. Drives it all the time and as far as I know, he's had no problems out of it.
Yeah, it's louder than some, but if you're not trying to sneak up on somebody or something, it doesn't really matter.

Kawasaki Mule SX base model is about the same money. These will last forever. My only complaint with them is the small, offset seat.
