Going to replace the flat roof at my business and got a price for a TPO roof. The guy priced it at 1000 per square and I wanted to get the “experts” opinion on the quote. What say ye?

We have had TPO replacements on several of our commercial building roofs. I think the most important component is how much experience the installer has to ensure the install is done properly. I would want to speak with several owners of businesses that had the same roof installed by your roofer. Also would want to see how they handled any issues. Have they been in business many years etc. Another issue is where are your ac units located. Letting other service folks up on your roof to repair ac can lead to these idots damaging your membrane. Amazing how many screws etc they leave laying around on the roof to walk on...

As for the quote amount, I would want several quotes but sometimes the more expensive quote also comes from the roofer with the best experience and reputation. Also pay attention to the warranty. Not up on current pricing.

Save yourself future issues and get atleast 3 qoutes from qualified contractors. To many things can go wrong if not installed correctly. I am on the distribution side of commercial roofing and see it everyday. Shoot me a pm if you have specfic questions, I will be glad to help if I can.
