I watched the video and I had a question. If these people will never see the light of day again for killing people, why don't they just execute?? El Salvador abolished the death penalty for ordinary crimes in 1983, but it is still legal for crimes committed under military law during a state of international war. The last execution in the country took place in 1973.

What struck me the most in the video was how quiet the prison was inside!! They are packed in there and yet no prisoners were making ANY NOISE!!
When you see a clip in our prisons the noise/shouting...is continuous even at night...it NEVER STOPS!!
They obviously know how to totally control people.

Never see outside, never see family or have visitors, never have lights turned off, no mattress, 1 toilet in cell with 80 men, tank for water, no protein in meals, same meal 3 times/day, get a few hours out of cell in hallway once/week, break rules go into a dark hole for 15 days, etc....

Documentaries about those prisons have been a hot topic for years depending on whoās running the country.
First time Iād heard ver heard of MS13 and as on 20/20 or 60 minutes and probably 20 plus years ago. It may have been John Stossel

We (US) should take some lessons on how prisoners should be treated. I guarantee it would make a difference in crime. Yup
