Tuskegee NF. Should Trump open it up for development? Its the smallest National Forest and real financial drain on the Forest Service. I've had a lot of fun there, as many of us have. If you went to AU or grew up near Montgomery and did not get in some kind of fun trouble there then you are weird.
Think of the subdivisions you could build there. It would be some high dollar property for sure. It would become its own city within five years after being opened up I'm certain. Nice flat land between Auburn and the Gump. Right on the interstate. Mostly clean enough water to work with. Just thinking out loud cause its been brought up many times before.

Tuskegee has been brought up many times before. Its basically been on the block for de-accession for several decades.

The Lee County portion of the TNF would be prime for development.
The Macon County portion, not so much.

Trade out land for land. Acquire land on Conecuh or Talladega NFs for any land let go on the skeegee. I've heard a bunch of horror stories about it anyway. Dumping and killing. Save the federal $ spent on that place and put it to use on other acreage that is worth a damn.

Absolutely not! This is what worries me about the whole DOGE thing. Leave forests and parks alone. Agreed!
