He gobbled a handful of times on his own, but never to me directly. Thought I had him coming to me, caught a glimpse of a bird for just a half-second about 100yds out through the woods, went past me and kept going. He didn’t slow up for me and I just didn’t get quite close enough on where I thought he was going. Gobbled a few more times and was getting steadily farther, and onto private land. He may have had a hen with him….would explain why he didn’t slow up and passed me by. There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world: 1. All Politicians Are Liars 2.
