Tubs says he's not running so I'll keep looking.
Id vote for Coach but I hope he stays in D.C. Wasn't real versed in the History on Ainsworth so I looked up his record. Seems like a great choice based on his stances and voting record. Am I missing any negative on him? I couldn't find any.
My question too. Some say he's making too much money but he made boatloads (multi millions upon millions) as a coach before he ran for office. I imagine he took a hefty pay cut to become a senator. Maybe he needed better insurance, or maybe he just wanted our values represented in Washington. He's got more money than he and his family can spend already so I doubt that was why he ran. I'd like to know particular on what makes him a shyster?
Rule 1: There is never enough money.
Rule 2: The more money you can make, while exerting the least amount of work, time, or effort, the better off you are.
Rule 3: Base salary does not matter one bit. The only thing that matters is total accumulated annual income. How you get to that number is irrelevant.
Rule 4: It takes money to make money and Tubbs hit congress with a whole lot more cash in the bank, just waiting to be deployed into "sure thing" stock trades and backdoor deals, than most everyone else up there, that had take time to build up their wealth enough to make the real $$.
Rule 5: The insider information that they are privy to, and the fact that insider trading laws are not applied to the house and senate, is basically a license to print/steal money that the non political elites, like 99.99999% of the rest of the US, can only dream of.
Fact: Tubbs is no dummy and he didnt take a pay cut to become a senator. He simply parlayed his AL name into a position that allowed him to best utilize, invest, and multiply the millions he had already made by standing on the sidelines blowing a whistle. I dont blame him one bit. I'd do it to if I was in his position and the opportunity presented itself. I think he votes pretty well for the common guy and way better than most, but make no mistake and dont let those blue and orange glasses cloud your vision, Tubbs is dang sure taking full advantage of where he is sitting and he's not sitting there because he feels a sense or duty of service. Power and money.
I have no idea if he is a shyster or not. But I do know for a fact, that he hit the ground running on day one, with regard being one of the most prolific stock traders in the senate or house.
