Just pulled up to bullock lease. Haven’t heard one here all year but maybe one has drifted on me.

Congrats! Nice morning. Hopefully we have several days ahead that will be bright. The wind has been terrible for the last week and a half it seems.

Nothing seen. Nothing heard. Congrats Grady. I heard a shot way off in bullock at 625. 🤔

I heard the one in the pasture once. I really thought that they would be fired up this morning.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Couldn't get my lazy butt out of bed. Sitting in my back yard listening to one gobble at crows across the road. Heard him on my side Sunday when I got home from church gobbling at the thunder. I'll catch up with him one day hopefully. Maybe in the morning? I've heard less gobbling this season than I can remember

Prettiest morning I have been in the woods this season. Sat in a place where one was gobbling good in the wind Saturday. Absolute silence this morning. Did have a doe at 10 steps trying to figure me out.

Uploading some picture to recap the week, I leave for Alaska on friday for the season. Might get to go again in the morning one last time depending on plans but we will see!

First bird I killed with my dad (JayHook2). He has taught me more than I will ever remember and turkeys have been a masterclass from him! Set up on this one off the roost, dad gave him some tree yelps and he pitched down and came right up the road to us! as soon as I grabbed his beard it fell off. 4 1/2 long with red tips full of beard rot. He had also gotten beat up and spurred by another bird not to long ago!

Me and Baylee (BayleeFox01) drove up this morning and got on a bird I had heard before and had a pretty good idea of where it was. We got exactly where I wanted to listen and he shock gobbled a 80 or 100 yards away at 6:04! We sat down and gave him a few tree yelps and he came in after one more gobble, at 6:24 he was flopping!

My niece Ruth took a picture with us and enjoyed feeling his fan!

I tried to get Baylee on another bird after mine and we got one fired up about 8, he gobbled 30 or so times, shock gobbling to crows, barking dogs, owl hoots, everything. He came close enough we could hear him spit but never came out of the bottom to greet us. Maybe tomorrow or maybe next year!

Didn’t throw a pattern tight enough to 40….to tight of a window… I’ll let him make that call, but it was awesome from where I was sitting..
