At bullock lease. On other side of property. Maybe I’ll hear my first gobble on the place over here. Nice morning. Good luck y’all.

I’ve been listening to a huge group of crows within 100 yards calling non-stop for last 20 minutes. I couldn’t hear a gobble if there was one. This racket is insane!! Now a hawk has joined in.

Apparently crows and owls are no longer exciting to turkeys. A garbage truck is a hell of a locator call. Had a bead on him 3 times but he was too far. Got to 40 behind a big white oak with no chance of a shot. He backed out the way he came and so did I. He was gobbling at me when I was crawling away. WORK STINKS!!!!!!! I had to leave one the other day gobbling. I could hear him drumming through the thick brush. I we can do is hope they are still there when we go back. And yes, work does suck this time of year. I would love to have March and April off from work. I take off when I can, but it is never enough.

Beautiful morning, haven't heard a turkey sound of any kind. Saw 4 does. Really surprised they didn't gobble this morning The more I hunt turkeys the more I beleive they gobble most every morning with decent weather. If you don't hear them it's cause they are not in hearing distance. I had a group of 3 gobs the last two years that would roost somewhere, never on our 1500 acres but they would be on our 1500 acres by mid morning and be gone again before time to fly up every day. Amazing.

Benjy I saw you turning on 82 this morning! I finally got on some good gobblin birds and actually had them responding. About 6:45 the paving crew put out the paving ahead sign about 10yds from my truck and at 6:55am I heard the flag man park his truck a top the next ridge where the birds were gobblin down in the bottom below. Needless to say that wrapped up my morning. I believe I will wait and try them again next week when the paving crew has hopefully moved on down the road a mile or two. Glad you heard some. I did hear one but he was 2 properties away barely within earshot. I’m changing into scrubs at the truck and he’s gobbling at cows. 🙄

Located 3 different birds this morning before 7:30. Had to stay home with my 2yo. Hope they’re still there Saturday And the turkeys are grateful. 👍🏻😂
