I know some of us get on here and bitch about our trucks for this or that, but I love my truck. I love my truck more than any other truck I have ever owned and it's a Dodge Ram of all things. I never dreamed I would own a Dodge product of any type. It's just been sitting while we have been travelling and I haven't driven it in about a month. We sometimes take it on trips instead of our Mazda and always enjoy it on trips. I got in it yesterday to run to Lowe's to get a bunch of lumber and remembered why I love it so much... Mine's a 2018 Ram 1500 4x4 Bighorn Edition with the 3.6 Pentastar V6 motor in it. It has 305 horsepower and with the 3.55 gearing the thing will step out and move. It's surprising how much power it has. Plus the 8 speed German ZF transmission is the best automatic transmission I have ever owned. It literally shifts like I would shift if I had an 8 speed manual. It always seems to be in precisely the right gear when coming out of a corner or going up a hill to keep the motor in the perfect rpm range. It's super comfortable, it rides and handles great, especially after I replaced the old shocks with the Bilstein 5100's. Great shocks! I'm about to hit 100k miles on it and I have only had a few problems in all that time: 1. The oil cooler cracked which is the only real issue that ever comes up with the Pentastar motors. That was a $500 fix. We've done the same repair on our Jeep Rubicons. 2. One day after I had let it sit for about a month, I went to crank it and the alternator had froze up. I had to oil it, get a breaker bar and break it lose and of course replace the belt, but it's been find since then 3. The fancy color touch screen that runs just about everything in the truck started separating and acting like it was possessed by a demon. I took it to the dealer who wanted $1500 to fix it. So I got on Amazon bought another screen for $89 and took the dash apart and fixed it myself in about 30 minutes. Other than those 3 things she's been a blessing. With the V6 I average 19.5mpg around town and about 21.5mpg on the highway. 0-60 in 7 seconds and a towing capacity of 7400 pounds. I've considered getting a mid-sized truck like a Nissan Frontier, but it would be a step down in towing capacity and fuel economy and probably comfort too. I think I spent $28k for it years ago and she's been paid off for about 3 years. Are you happy with your truck? ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54442710266_e0a8f55cc1_4k.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54443081025_37e40fa648_4k.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54443080985_9013646e5f_4k.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54442958733_6504b092fa_4k.jpg)

I'm very happy with my truck. It's a 2023 GMC Sierra SLT with the 3.0 diesel engine. As long as GM continues to make this wonderful engine, I'll keep buying their trucks. Best engine available in a 1/2 ton truck IMHO.

Only one that came close was my 92 toyota pickupā¦.the tundra has the 4.7L 2uz-fe v8ā¦which will go down in history as the finest engine ever put in a vehicle..it has right at 200k miles and ive done nothing but change the oil for the last 60k miles, it is time now tho, i just put new coilovers and a leveling kit on it, its gettng an axel replaced next week along with timing belt and water pump for routine repair, i am also completely replacing everything under the front end, new seat covers and hopefully a new radio..this is what happens when i cant afford a newer vehicle..ill make what i got better than it ever was..im thrilled with it so far..i wanted a new truck so bad..but i wint spend a fraction of what what that costs doing this..and i couldnāt be happier with how itās going š¤ šŗšø

New '24 Tundra 4X4 bought in October . It's a loaded up SR5 and has waaaay more gadgets than I need or am used to. I drove a F-150 which was just OK , I got a better equipped truck for 7K less than the Ford. The Tundra has 389 HP and when you call on it you can "feel" all of them ! I added a tonneau bed cover, a set of Toyota running board /steps, a front leveling spacer and some fancy Husky floor mats. It rides and drives great and is our new traveling vehicle . It's my retirement , last truck.
When I'm hauling , towing and working , I still drive and love my old ' 98 Chevy 2500 4X4 . I bought it new and it's been a good workhorse from day one.

I never thought I would like my tonneau cover as much as I do. I bought it for like $120 on Amazon and it has held up great for years. Tight as a whales ass to. I go through all kinds of heavy downpours and it doesn't leak a drop in the bed.

My truck let me down for the first time Saturday. Me and GomerJr got back to the truck after harassing turkeys all morning and it wouldnāt start. Fuel pump gave up the ghost and had to have it towed from the woods to the shop. Hoping to get it back today or tomorrow.
All in all though itās been a good one. 2013 F150 FX4 with 145k miles. I bought it for roughly $30k in 2017 and until this week I havenāt had to do anything but brakes and oil changes. Still better than a truck payment.

Easy install and easy to completely remove , bout 3 minutes. It's been in a few downpours and through auto car wash and hasn't leaked a drop. Those things are great.

2013 Chevy HD 2500 4x4 here. Just turned 120k miles. Been a great truck and the only negative is the fuel mileage but I knew that when I bought it. Itās a little more then I need most times but itās nice when I hook to the big trailer to haul equipment or big boats. Iām hoping this truck will last me another 10years. I know itās wishful thinking but one can hope.

When I went with the Bilstein 5100 shocks, the front ones, have different spring perch settings on them and I leveled it that way and it is 100% better than the lift kit I had on it.

1997 Chevy Z71 with 165,000 miles.......The clear coat is coming off pretty bad now and I need to get her a new paint job but just cant bring myself to do it and then turn around and drive it into a bunch of hunting clubs and such tracking......Probably just let her stay ugly

2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD 6.6 Duramax. 50,000 miles. I love this truck. Drive and rides like a dream. Powerful and stout. It will pull a house and get 15mpg doing it. Unloaded it will get 23 mpg on the highway. Great truck!
