He heard the Dixie Darling box and came trotting in to check it out without saying a word. Not a very exciting hunt, but I will take it and be thankful. . All 3 of the turkeys I've killed this year have been on Friday. All the labor of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.

AUdeerhunter 10 point Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 3,500 Cullman, AL	I killed #2 about 6:40 this morning…I didn’t hear the first turkey sound on the roost, but I got extremely lucky!!! A big group of turkeys was roosted about 150 yards from my listening spot and I had no idea!! About 6:35, 10 turkeys of all kinds glided into the hay field and all landed within 100 yards of me. I watched them for a couple of minutes and could tell one gobbler was wanting to strut. As he began to strut, I gave them a few soft yelps and 3 gobblers answered. I cut them off with 3-4 more soft yelps and then hushed. A few minutes later, this pink spurred beauty had made his way up to 30 yards to peer over the slight hill that was between me and the group of turkeys!!! The thick fog really helped me to be able to sneak into my listening spot and not be detected!!!
