Big announcement yesterday about them coming to America. Stock is $110 right now. Has been as high as $160 in the past year. Would bringing their manufacturing to America cause the stock to jump?

US stock futures fell after Nvidia (NVDA) revealed costly new curbs on chip exports to China, and investors grappled with uncertainty over President Trump's trade policy.

Probably ain’t done dropping

Problem is any chip we send to China they’re going to reverse engineer it and steal our technology.

Down 6% on the news of a 5.5 billion dollar charge tied to exporting chips to China.

I mostly use Webull for trading now. Have used Etrade in past and it’s a good platform for buying, not my favorite for day trading. Thinkorswim has the best charts. If I was gonna pick one to just buy stocks and ease of use I’d go with Etrade. It’s very user friendly and not as confusing as some others for just starting out. Zero commissions on stock trades and no minimum balance to start.

Finally deported myself from the peoples republik of Kaliforkistan.

It's super easy to open an investing account at Ally Bank. Ally is not some fly by night internet bank, it used to be known as GMAC (General Motors Acceptance Corporation).

We use them for our high interest savings accounts and we have 3 CD's with them, plus we have an investment account with them. It's easy to transfer money from your savings to investment account, and it's easy to buy pretty much any kind of stock, ETF, security, etc... from there.

It's also easy to lose money if you buy at the wrong time like I have been doing lately...

The think or swim is good but I don’t like Swabs trading platform. I use E*Trade and really like the mobile version. I don’t particularly care for the web version but it does have some good features for options trading.
I bought some Cleveland Cliffs yesterday. Never thought I’d see it at 7.40/share.

I am in 2 funds that are long positions on Nvidea.

You can open a fidelity account and trade stocks. Thats what I do, but I don't buy many stocks now, mainly funds.

I have a little over 100 shares right now and am up overall by just a little bit with the recent drops. My last purchase was a few weeks ago at $119. It's sitting at $109 now.

Right now , I'd buy Nvidia over Tesla.

I think so too. I bought some Exxon and VLO. NVDA is facing a lot of headwinds right now though but they are hands down the best.
I still like SMCI also.
Sold the 240 July calls on my Tesla for 4800 bucks. We will see how that works out

That’s a given because Tesla stock has never made sense. The cyber truck is trash, but the cars are alright. They are not ā€œ4x the price of Ford/Chevy/Toyotaā€ good.

It’s purely a speculative gambling stock.

Back to NVIDIA, as a gamer who buys a new card every 5 years or so, I shudder to wonder what they will cost after American mfg premiums or tariffs, they are already higher than giraffe p****y now. My 3080 was $750 and 5080’s now are like $1200. Not looking forward to $4000 GPU’s
