Anyone have a hot tip on removing them? I swear it seems like once I get them in my eyes for an hour, they are super glued to my eye ball. I have a suction device, but its maybe 4mm across, the contacts are 14. I got some latex cover tweezer things, and they worked the first time, but no more.

Maybe its because I have astimatism and they didn't give me toric ones? Sometimes I can moved one to the side with the suction thing, but I did that saturday evening and lost the contact somewhere.

I am tired of trying to hunt with glasses. I can't see in the woods when its low light, and I can't see my phone without glasses. Doing the mono vision thing.

No hot tips, but I don't think it's supposed to be that hard. Probably need another size/brand is my guess. I wouldn't be sticking any tweezers in my eye balls, I know that laugh

Put saline in then try to pinch the edge, not in the middle.

I don’t need saline unless I have some crazy dry eye but if they are dry, squirt a little. Then just take your index finger, slide the contact downward as you look up, and pinch with forefinger and thumb.

If that doesn’t work well, I’d schedule back with your optometrist and go in and show them the problems you are having. It could be they show you a better way, or maybe your particular brand is weird.

Take a dry index finger and touch the bottom of the contact and look up and it will side down off the center of your eye. While still holding it with index finger, pinch it with index finger and thumb to break the suction.

Trick is using a dry finger so the contact sticks to your finger.

You're only as good as your worst shot-

Agree with the dry finger trick.

Contacts in general just take time to get used to. It was such an unnatural feeling when I first did it that I gave up after a few months. Tried several years later and managed to stick with it. Just make sure your finger is as dry as possible when removing, but complete opposite when putting them in.

It the contact is stuck to your eye, put a drop in (artificial tears or contact solution are fine). Look up and slide the contact down to the white part then pinch it off. I see a ton of corneal abrasions from folks trying to remove a contact trying to pinch it directly off the cornea. Especially when they think it’s still in and it’s not. And I’ve NEVER told anyone to use a plunger to remove a soft contact lens. There is no need for that.

I was about to tell him to repost this in the turkey forum and you’d see it faster.

Also. Punt the monovision for hunting. Just go with distance vision in both eyes and wear readers. For rest on time do the mono vision.

I had them before, and didn't seem to struggle like I do now. I can't seem to pinch the lense is what it sounds like you are all saying. I will try some of your suggestions this weekend.
