Hammering yesterday morning

Heard 2 this morning. One gobbled about 30 times and I couldn't get him away from his hens. Certainly not over in Coffee Co.

Silence in north Baldwin the last three mornings

I killed #4 Monday and he gobbled at least 100 times.

The only thing consistent in NW Fl was inconsistency we ended Sunday I was in the woods this morning around 9 am and they were hammering!!

Heck no. Wont be over for another month. They gonna breed, strut and gobble every chance they get

They should love the close to 90 degree temps by Sunday.

Very slow to nonexistent in my area.

They dont mind it, they live in it for half the yr every yr

Hammering again this morning. Bird I was on too far off property and not enough time to wait him out. Put my brother on one at a different place that hammered too. He’s going to setup where he wouldn’t move from in the morning.

You say the dumbest shit of anybody on this site repetitively and nobody rebuts you, especially about turkey hunting. Post some pics with all of these turkeys you’re killing with them breeding ‘’all year.’’

This is going against being a turkey hunter and telling the truth. The woods are burning up right now. Though you can’t expect to hear multiple gobbles from a single high spot. Sometimes you have to get down in the same holler as him to hear him. I watched a bird gobble 3 times in an open pasture and only heard the tail end of the last one.(>150 yards away) Use the tall grass/ green up to your advantage and move through the places you know are too grown up for a bird to be. You can get away with slipping around and cutting some if you need to make something happen. Be particular coming up on road intersections and oak flats where they like to scratch and hang out. Maybe setup around the places you know a bird should be but be ready to kill him when he peaks over that terrace or around that bend. I took a couple steers to Colquit this morning and saw 4 strutters, 3 in the edges of clear cuts and 1 in a shaded spot of a hay field where the grass was a little shorter.

Leave the decoys at home. If you’re setting up decoys where the gobbler can see them you can bet your ass he saw you putting them out. Let that question is his mind kill him. Make him think he thought he heard a hen close enough to court, let him peak around and be ready to kill him
