Got in a lockon this norning at 5:30. I sat there in the cool darkness as acrons dropped all around me. About 5:45 the owls started up. I had seen several deer on the way in so I was hopefull. I soon heard deer munching on the acrons but I still had a while before I could see them. As soon as it got light enough to see I noticed deer all around me. I sat quietly untill I saw antlers. As I tried to stand I got busted by a deer I didn't see. The whole place cleared out. Then at 7:10 a doe fed in at 13 yards quartering away, at 7:11 I sent a thunder head through her boiler room and I recovered some fresh back straps. Just as I loaded her on the ATV it started to rain. Guess I could have held out for a buck but I'm happy and the season started.
Good luck to all.

Wooo! Go TopCat!
Congrats!
I was thinking this morning taking the kids to school it would be a fine day for slipping and slinking around in the rain.
